Job Description
The company is recruiting a senior engineering head for KYX, the team behind know-your-customer and know-your-business checks. The role leads the engineering group that handles onboarding identity and access, due diligence and vendor coordination, ongoing reviews after onboarding, and risk scoring built on machine learning and agentic AI. The director combines leadership that today is split between onboarding and continuous KYX groups.
The director sets engineering strategy and structure across server-side, client-side, data science and machine learning work. Staff sit in Hyderabad, Delhi and Sofia, along with Belgrade, Bucharest and Vilnius. The KYX Scoring and ML group serves both onboarding and ongoing decisions, so the director is accountable for each model's life cycle, from development and backtesting through staged release to live monitoring.
The work sits inside a regulated setting alongside KYX operations and policy colleagues and the second-line risk and compliance teams, and works with Product in the UK, EU and India. The director must bring agentic AI into workflows where an error affects members and the company, while keeping market-specific logic separate. Progress is judged by higher automation of decisions, sharper due diligence and screening, and lower KYX expense per member.
The ideal candidate has led engineering in areas such as identity checks, customer onboarding, fraud prevention or financial crime, or in other regulated decision-making, and has taken machine learning into production at scale. Leading distributed teams across several markets is expected. Experience with governance and human review when AI enters regulated processes is a bonus. The role is based in London and is marked on-site.
