The company seeks a Director of Growth Marketing - Performance to report directly to the VP of Performance Marketing. This full-time, remote position operates within the United States.
This role suits an experienced, data-driven marketing professional who thrives in ambiguous environments and enjoys building strategies from scratch. The person in this role will function as both a strategist and a hands-on operator, balancing high-level planning with direct campaign execution. Responsibilities include evaluating and accelerating core acquisition channels such as SEM, Paid Social, and SEO/AEO, while expanding into new high-return options like Programmatic, OTT, OOH, and streaming audio.
The successful candidate will also prepare paid channel strategies for personal loans as the business shifts toward a multi-product lending model by 2027. Additionally, the individual will lead an AI-first marketing transformation by adopting automated workflows within the first 90 days, manage team structures spanning full-time employees, contractors, and agencies, and collaborate closely with product, data science, compliance, and advanced analytics teams. Candidates must be comfortable working within regulated environments where compliance approvals shape project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing strategy, execution, and performance across core acquisition channels including SEM, Paid Social, and SEO/AEO to accelerate results
- Develop and execute channel expansion strategies into high-return mediums such as Programmatic, OTT, OOH, and Streaming Audio
- Partner with analytics and attribution teams to create data-backed measurement frameworks for scaling decisions
- Design paid channel strategies for personal loans to support the company expansion into multi-product lending by 2027
- Drive the adoption of AI workflows within the first 90 days to transform team operations
- Determine the optimal mix of full-time employees, contractors, agencies, and AI capacity
- Act as a player-coach by directing strategy while remaining hands-on with campaign builds, testing, and analysis
Requirements
- Ability to work remotely from the United States
- Comfort operating in a regulated environment requiring compliance approval for new channels and personalization tactics
- Experience setting long-term strategy while retaining the ability to analyze daily SEM performance
- Experience serving in a player-coach capacity with meaningful hands-on campaign execution
Qualifications
- Experience working in fintech, lending, or another regulated business-to-consumer sector
- Background at a high-growth startup or growth-stage company
- Strong proficiency in SQL to independently extract data and coach team members
- Demonstrated history of piloting and scaling advanced measurement methodologies including incrementality testing, geo holdouts, marketing mix modeling, and multi-touch attribution
