Job Description

ConexED builds software that helps colleges and universities handle advising, student services and enrollment processes. After two recent statewide RFP wins, the company is pushing into new institutions. This remote, full-time Director of Marketing role leads the whole marketing function and is meant to turn strategy into a dependable revenue pipeline.

This leader is in charge of demand gen, branding, content, product marketing and field and event work. The job works closely with Sales and RevOps to set pipeline goals, raise funnel conversion and shorten deal cycles, and it sets positioning against rivals. Other responsibilities include running the HubSpot-based marketing stack, planning conference activity, supporting statewide RFP bids with proof points and custom content, and tracking pipeline, acquisition cost and influenced revenue. The company expects the marketing leader to use Claude and similar AI tools for content, research and reporting, and to build workflows others can repeat.

Applicants should have three to five or more years of B2B SaaS marketing, with a growing record of owning demand generation and pipeline. Hands-on work with HubSpot or a similar automation and CRM platform is required, along with a history of marketing that produced measurable revenue. Experience in higher education, the public sector or RFP-driven buying is a bonus, as is a product marketing or growth-stage background. The role also includes hiring and developing a marketing team as it expands.

  • Set the marketing strategy and yearly plan around pipeline, ARR and retention goals
  • Run demand generation across paid, organic, account-based and outbound-supporting channels
  • Set pipeline targets with Sales and RevOps and improve conversion
  • Shape positioning and messaging with the CEO and CRO
  • Lead launches, competitive research and sales enablement
  • Build a content plan that positions the company as an authority in higher education
  • Apply AI tools to speed up content, research, campaigns and reporting
  • Oversee the marketing tech stack and reporting with RevOps
  • Plan field marketing and conference presence at regional and national events
  • Back statewide RFP bids with positioning and tailored content
