Job Description
Roblox is looking for a Director of Public Policy to join the team and shape engagement strategies across the Middle East and North Africa. The platform enables millions of people to connect and explore immersive 3D experiences created by a global community. In this role, the professional will manage critical regulatory and policy matters including child safety, artificial intelligence, gaming, privacy, and consumer protection within the region.
This position is based in Dubai and reports to the Head of Public Policy for Europe and MENA. The ideal candidate is an analytical and results-oriented strategist who can communicate policy positions effectively, advise internal stakeholders on business operations, and build relationships with political figures and key regional stakeholders. The role suits an organized professional capable of setting independent work processes while collaborating across functional teams to support the broader policy agenda.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain connections with regional political figures and policymakers
- Monitor, identify, and analyze policy matters impacting the company across MENA
- Formulate and implement policy strategies concerning priority issues
- Support the wider public policy department on ongoing initiatives and projects
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on policy considerations that impact product development and operations
- Draft briefing papers, consultation responses, and articulate public policy positions
Requirements
- More than ten years of experience engaging with stakeholders and policymakers within the MENA region
- Extensive background in strategy development, intelligence collection and analysis, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, International Relations, Media, Technology, or a related field
