Job Description
This full-time, on-site Director of Product Marketing post is based in either San Mateo, California or New York City, with occasional travel to client, industry and partner events. The director decides how InMobi's DSP commerce products are positioned, messaged and launched, turning technical commerce, data and AI capabilities into a clear and believable account that buyers can trust.
The director is the single owner of the DSP commerce narrative. Work starts from customer research into what buyers want, how budgets for commerce, performance and retail media actually flow, and where stated needs diverge from actual purchases. That evidence shapes ideal customer profiles, use-case priorities and key assumptions, and the director settles disputes when internal opinions conflict with market facts.
The remit also covers acquiring app users, winning them back and retargeting them, framed as inputs to commerce and lifecycle goals like conversion, repeat orders and lifetime value, not isolated performance tactics. Further work covers messaging for partner DSP integrations and measurement vendors, drafting PR and FAQ papers, building launch narratives and planning events that anchor a release. The director works with Product to choose what gets built, using customer evidence to rank the roadmap.
Applicants should bring go-to-market, platform or product marketing experience across ad tech and martech, plus commerce media and retail media. They need to make technical capabilities easy to grasp and convert them into positioning that speeds adoption. Familiarity with category narratives in fast-changing settings, experience running product-led and sales-led motions, and a record of developing product marketers all matter. The fixed base is between $206,500 and $275,000 USD for the California and New York offices, with variable pay and equity possible.
