Palo Alto Networks seeks a Domain Consultant 2 - Cortex to operate in a remote capacity. This position suits an experienced professional with a background in security operations who can guide clients through security transformations using the Cortex portfolio.
The person in this role acts as a technical expert for Cortex, which includes Security Intelligence and Automation, XDR, Attack Surface Management, SOAR, and Incident Response. Responsibilities involve collaborating with account teams, presenting technical solutions to audiences ranging from practitioners to senior leaders, and leading Proof of Value projects. The consultant also responds to RFIs and RFPs, outlines high-level architectural designs, and funnels customer feedback back to product management, technical marketing, and research and development teams.
Candidates should bring substantial background in Security Operations, SIEM, SOAR, or XDR environments, alongside strong problem-solving abilities and English proficiency. Responsibilities
- Partner with account teams to design and build customer solutions within a designated specialization area
- Deliver presentations as a technical expert to all levels of a customer hierarchy
- Contribute to responses for RFIs and RFPs as the main technical contact for Cortex
- Facilitate and lead customer product demonstrations highlighting value propositions
- Manage and scope Proof of Value projects for prospective partners and clients
- Architect solutions aimed at strengthening and simplifying customer security postures
- Draft High-Level Designs and Key Use Cases for implementation and value realization
- Facilitate discussions regarding industry trends and competitive marketplace offers
- Initiate projects to enhance individual team performance and adopt organizational policies
- Relay customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working in Security Operations or in pre-sales and sales engineering roles involving SIEM, SOAR, SOC, or XDR and EDR environments
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers exhibiting strong problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of Security Operations Center processes
- Advanced knowledge concerning SIEM or SOAR solutions
- Proficiency in the English language
Qualifications
- IBM QRadar design, deployment, and pre-sales experience
- Scripting experience, with Python preferred
