Omada Health seeks a remote Engineering Manager to lead a squad focused on member-facing systems. In this position, you will own squad execution, planning, and people development while continuing to write production code off the critical path every sprint. You will partner closely with a Product Strategist to balance feature delivery, operational health, and cycle times. The role suits a hands-on product engineering leader who is comfortable managing teams, directing AI-assisted development workflows, and supporting professional growth within an expert-generalist team model.

Responsibilities
- Manage squad delivery, covering sprint shaping, backlog grooming, estimation, and prioritization.
- Write production code every sprint using the same agent workflows and codebase as the squad.
- Partner with the Product Strategist to maintain clear boundaries between product scope and engineering execution.
- Support the career growth and professional development of reporting engineers.
- Lead the operational health of the squad, including on-call rotations, MTTR, and post-incident analysis.
- Hire and build out the engineering team while evaluating AI-assisted development tooling.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 2 years managing engineers or leading delivery for an accountable team.
- Track record of shipping mission-critical software to production and handling its ongoing maintenance.
- Experience handling team prioritization, estimation, and saying no with clear justifications.
- Experience delivering direct developmental feedback and supporting underperforming team members.
- Current or recent experience shipping production code in at least one stack layer, such as backend, web frontends, iOS, or Android.
- Hands-on experience directing AI agents through real-world production changes.
- Understanding of CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and telemetry.
- Strong written communication skills.
