Kiva is seeking an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Intern to support its Business Development team on a remote, part-time basis. Established in 2005, Kiva is an international nonprofit working to broaden financial inclusion and uplift underserved populations through crowdfunded loans. The Kiva US program specifically aids domestic entrepreneurs through zero-interest, zero-fee financing and connects borrowers with regional technical assistance providers.

In this role, the intern will assist with prospecting, outreach, partner onboarding, research, and project assignments aimed at understanding partnership challenges and successes. This position fits individuals interested in sales within nonprofit or technology sectors, research, and relationship management. Participants take part in a six-month volunteer internship designed to accelerate professional growth through practical experience, networking, and development workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and compile data regarding prospective partners and their networks
  • Investigate potential corporate donors and foundations
  • Explore national partnerships aimed at scaling impact
  • Examine performance metrics of current Hubs to build case studies
  • Assist the United States team in handling incoming questions from current and prospective partners
  • Perform cold outreach to potential partners
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for stakeholders following early conversations
  • Track partner involvement and attendance in monthly gatherings
  • Develop and update pitch decks, presentations, and related documentation
  • Design visual graphs and charts for trustee and CAM surveys
  • Aid marketing initiatives to share programmatic updates with trustee and Hub partners
  • Draft scripts for borrower support videos
  • Produce marketing collateral to assist partners

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old by January 13, 2026
  • Commitment to the complete six-month term from January 12, 2027, through June 30, 2027
  • Availability to work 24 to 32 hours per week
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent, full-time basis
