Tech Firefly is seeking an Epic Beacon and Willow Oncology Research Analyst for a fully remote contract position extending through February 2027. This role is intended to support a growing oncology research initiative by managing an increasing number of research requests.
The person in this position will be responsible for creating, testing, and keeping up-to-date adult oncology treatment protocols as well as investigational medications within Epic Beacon and Willow Inpatient environments. Daily duties include designing workflows, handling project timelines, presenting updates at meetings, performing quality assurance on other analysts' work, and conducting validation and integrated testing while following change control procedures.
This opportunity is well-suited for licensed pharmacists who possess dual certifications in Epic Beacon and Epic Willow Inpatient, along with a strong background in building and deploying oncology research protocols within Epic healthcare systems. Candidates must be available to work during Eastern Time (NY) business hours.
Tech Firefly provides a W2 hourly compensation rate ranging from $90.00 to $100.00 per hour. The position operates on a 100% remote basis.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain adult oncology treatment protocols and research medications within Epic Beacon and Willow Inpatient systems
- Track research build requests in the queue, manage project timelines, and regularly present status updates during research committee and team meetings
- Perform rigorous Quality Assurance reviews on research builds completed by other analysts
- Execute thorough validation, integrated testing, and formal change control procedures for all individual build work
- Collaborate with pharmacy, clinical research, and IT teams to align research workflows with clinical operations and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- Hold a valid RPh or PharmD license in any U.S. jurisdiction
- Maintain active certification in both Epic Beacon and Epic Willow Inpatient
- Demonstrate a proven track record of independently building and deploying oncology research protocols in an Epic health system environment
- Possess direct build experience in adult oncology workflows
- Align core working hours with Eastern Time
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with oncology clinical trials or investigational drug services pharmacy workflows
- Strong familiarity with oncology pharmacy operations and order set maintenance
