This role centers on managing an assigned patient panel, handling acute and chronic conditions, and providing well-visits. The position entails working four days in the clinic and one day through remote tele-health or work from home arrangements, while also supervising nurse practitioners or physician assistants. Qualified practitioners will join a collaborative team environment that incorporates daily huddles, weekly clinical rounds, and opportunities to perform in-office procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage a patient panel encompassing diverse care needs, covering acute, chronic, and well-visit appointments
- Treat patients directly in office, testing centers, or via tele-health
- Engage in continuous learning by attending weekly Clinical Rounds
- Collaborate daily with in-office peers and virtual clinical teams through regular huddles
- Perform in-office clinical procedures based on specific training
- Supervise one or more nurse practitioner or physician assistant colleagues
Requirements
- Enrollment in or completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics residency program
- Practice experience of at least two out of the past five years in an outpatient primary care setting treating patients of all ages
- State medical license in Ohio obtained prior to the start date
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics, or board eligibility with plans to attain certification within one year of starting
