Responsibilities
- Deliver disease state, product, and therapy management education in consumer-friendly language to patients, caregivers, and care team members
- Engage with caregivers prior to, during, and after therapy initiation through in-person, telephonic, and virtual formats
- Collaborate across internal departments including Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Patient Access, and Advocacy
- Share field insights and educational gaps with internal stakeholders to help refine support tools and strategies
- Maintain fluency in Acadia Customer Support Programs, Hub offerings, Patient Assistance Programs, and ambassador speaker initiatives
- Moderate and present caregiver speaker programs and participate in territory community events
- Conduct reactive educational in-services for physician offices regarding support resources and enrollment pathways
- Provide mentorship and training to newer team members or cross-functional colleagues interested in patient support services
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies while executing responsibilities
Requirements
- Five or more years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, patient access, national accounts, or specialty pharmacy for the standard role
- Seven or more years of relevant experience with extensive patient engagement expertise for the senior role
- At least two years of patient support, education, or leadership experience for the standard role, or four years for the senior role
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry field environment and HIPAA privacy rules
- Ability to travel up to seventy percent of the time for customer visits, office meetings, and conferences
- Capacity to meet local, state, and federal vaccination mandates for in-person professional activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, handle equipment, and lift up to twenty pounds
Qualifications
