This full-time position combines people leadership with domain and operational expertise in financial crime prevention. The chosen candidate will guide daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate customer-related financial risks, and maintain high operational performance standards.
The role involves coaching and mentoring staff, handling performance management, resolving conflicts, and running regular one-on-one sessions. Responsibilities also include overseeing task management, conducting quality reviews, supporting high-risk escalations, and sharing subject matter expertise in anti-money laundering, KYC, fraud, and screening. The successful candidate will collaborate with central functions and stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and propose process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the screening team to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulations
- Coach, develop, and mentor analysts and specialists with varying experience levels
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews
- Manage team and individual KPIs to consistently meet performance targets and quality standards
- Address underperformance promptly by setting SMART goals and documenting interventions
- Provide guidance and support on complex, high-risk cases and operational escalations
- Collaborate with central functions and operational teams to drive process improvements and efficiency
- Escalate tooling incidents, high-risk customer issues, and control weaknesses to direct leadership
