Job Description
SupportYourApp is hiring a full-time T3 Support Engineer to work remotely. The role is for fluent English speakers and is part of a company that provides outsourced technical and customer support for software, mobile and hardware clients in many countries. The engineer takes issues escalated from first-line support, which usually involve backend systems, databases and integrations between systems, and works to find and resolve their root causes.
The work includes reproducing bugs across admin consoles, mobile apps and APIs, reviewing logs, error traces and metrics, running read-only queries against production databases, and making small, low-risk fixes such as configuration changes, data corrections or targeted code patches. The engineer escalates complex problems to the engineering team with clear notes, tracks incidents through to resolution and maintains internal runbooks and knowledge base articles.
The posting asks for English at least at C1 level, both spoken and written, and experience in technical support, site reliability or engineering. Strong SQL skills, working knowledge of PHP or JavaScript and TypeScript, and familiarity with AWS, Sentry and Grafana are expected. Candidates need a computer with at least 8 GB RAM plus an internet line of at least 45 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. The schedule is fixed at Monday to Friday, 10:30 PM to 7 AM GMT+11, and pay is in US dollars.
