Job Description

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with co-founders to define the product vision, target users, and core problem statements
• Establish a focused roadmap balancing customer demands, business opportunities, and technical limitations
• Build direct relationships with developers and early customers through interviews, feedback loops, and workflow observation
• Test assumptions using prototypes, experiments, and early releases before committing heavy engineering resources
• Translate customer problems into detailed product briefs, user journeys, and acceptance criteria
• Take ownership of critical developer experience details including onboarding, error recovery, and feedback mechanisms
• Define boundaries for AI autonomy, human review, and user control in collaboration with the engineering team
• Evaluate AI-powered workflows regarding usefulness, reliability, speed, and cost
• Measure success metrics across activation, engagement, retention, and conversion
• Work with leadership to test pricing models, packaging, and commercial routes to market
• Help recruit and develop future product and design team members

Requirements

• Experience taking a software product or major product area from an early concept through launch and iteration
• Demonstrated track record of owning product choices and delivering measurable business or customer outcomes
• Hands-on background in customer discovery, prioritization, and close teamwork with engineering and design
• Strong technical fluency to discuss APIs, architecture, integrations, and technical trade-offs with engineers
• Practical background in shipping or building AI-powered products with an understanding of LLM capabilities and limits
• Strong product judgment backed by user experience focus and evidence-based decision-making
• Ability to utilize product data and user feedback to direct experiments and investments
• Capacity to advance work independently in an early-stage environment with shifting priorities

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a founder, founding product hire, or product leader at an early-stage technology firm
• Background building developer tools, technical SaaS products, or software used by engineering teams
• Previous experience in software engineering, technical product management, or hands-on prototyping
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Python, LLM APIs, RAG, or agent workflows
• Experience finding product-market fit, testing pricing structures, or driving product-led growth
• History of hiring and growing a compact product or cross-functional team
• Active participation in developer communities or open-source projects
