Job Description
Good Inside is a parenting platform co-founded by two doctors, Becky Kennedy and Erica Belsky. It combines expert guidance, AI-supported help and a worldwide community to help parents raise resilient, confident children. The company is seeking an independent copywriter for pregnancy and baby content. The engagement is a contract for a writer who can explain the worries and choices of expecting and new parents in a warm, credible voice.
Assignments cover paid social ads, messages to members and to non-members, long-form articles, editorial work, partner campaigns and landing pages. Each project begins with a brief that states the goal, audience and deadline. The writer decides how to approach the work, using personal research and drafting methods, and is encouraged to propose hooks and fresh angles. Medical and other sensitive topics are reviewed by in-house experts before publication. Revisions follow consolidated feedback for each project, and performance data may be shared to improve future work.
The ideal writer has published work on prenatal and early-parenthood subjects, with real-world writing about infants and pregnancy considered essential. The writer should shift smoothly from a short social hook to an in-depth article, plan projects and deadlines independently, and balance empathy and credibility with marketing objectives. Work for membership businesses, expert-led brands or performance-driven copy is a plus. Pay is USD 60 to 70 an hour, billed each month with payment due within 30 days. Expected volume is around 15 to 20 hours a week. There is no exclusivity, the writer can work from their own location, and an occasional visit to Midtown Manhattan may be requested.
Responsibilities
- Create paid social ads, email sequences for members and prospects, long-form posts, editorial work, co-branded campaigns and landing pages
- Take each brief and turn it into a polished piece, relying on personal research and drafting habits
- Raise focused questions at the start, then hit the agreed deadline
- Suggest hooks, angles and creative concepts grounded in audience insight
- Stay consistent with the company's voice and brand guidelines
- Use performance data to refine future paid social and email writing
Requirements
- Seasoned writer whose body of work covers prenatal life, newborn care and early parenthood
- Real-world writing history on pregnancy and infant topics is essential
- Deep knowledge of the concerns and daily realities of expecting and new parents
- Range across short social copy, email and long blog posts
- Freelancer with a track record who converts briefs into polished copy
- Balance of empathy, credibility and marketing goals
- Organized and dependable across several projects
Qualifications
- Work with membership or subscription businesses
- Experience with expert-led brands or turning expert guidance into consumer content
