Uvation seeks a remote Frontend Developer specializing in React and Next.js to handle full-time UI engineering responsibilities. This position requires 4 to 6 years of professional experience and focuses on constructing dependable, responsive user interfaces derived from approved API contracts and visual specifications. The individual in this role will independently deliver new features, write thoroughly tested and maintainable code, and troubleshoot cross-browser issues using advanced debugging techniques.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong foundation in hooks-based component development, TypeScript, and modern build tools. The role involves managing client-side state, integrating REST APIs with proper handling of partial and error states, and implementing accessible layouts compliant with established design systems. Additional familiarity with animations, charting libraries, 3D graphics, end-to-end testing tools, and Azure DevOps can prove advantageous for candidates looking to support broader team initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build reliable and responsive user interfaces from approved designs and API contracts
- Deliver new features independently while writing clean, reusable, and maintainable code
- Diagnose and resolve browser issues using browser DevTools and cross-browser strategies
- Integrate REST APIs while managing loading, error, empty, and partial data states
- Implement unit and component tests utilizing testing frameworks and libraries
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of relevant front-end development experience
- Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and hooks-based component creation
- Experience with modern front-end build frameworks like Vite or Next.js
- Knowledge of state management libraries such as Zustand or Redux Toolkit
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS for responsive and semantic layouts
- Working understanding of accessibility standards including keyboard navigation and ARIA usage
- Experience using design systems like IBM Carbon or Material UI
- Ability to execute interfaces accurately from Figma files or visual specifications
- Experience handling polling, request cleanups, and defensive API response handling
- Familiarity with Git branching, pull requests, and collaborative code review workflows
Qualifications
- Experience with animation libraries including GSAP, Framer Motion, or React Spring
- Familiarity with charting libraries such as Recharts, Chart.js, D3.js, or High charts
- Hands-on practice with three.js, React Three Fiber, WebGL, or the HTML Canvas API
- Knowledge of performance profiling, lazy loading, bundle analysis, and dynamic imports
