Direct Agents, Inc. is hiring a remote, full-time Full-Stack Developer – AI Systems & Agent Engineering to maintain existing AI-powered systems and build a new, confidential generative AI product for the media industry from scratch. The employer operates a growing fleet of automated account agents, intelligence systems, and client dashboards.
This position suits a developer comfortable working inside Claude Code as the primary engineering environment, where daily tasks involve steering agentic coding workflows, reviewing AI-generated code, and writing code directly. The technology stack includes Python, FastAPI, SQL, and Vue.js.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack features using Python, FastAPI, JavaScript, Vue, and SQL
- Work inside Claude Code daily to prompt agentic workflows, review AI-generated code and pull requests, and extend custom skills and subagents
- Debug and harden data pipelines, marketing-data extracts, SQL views, and workflow automations
- Integrate LLM APIs like Claude and GPT for copy generation, insight extraction, and creative image analysis
- Manage deployments, monitoring, rollbacks, and incident response for live client-facing sites and internal tools
- Collaborate with data, strategy, and account teams to translate reporting and media needs into software
- Document systems, prompts, and workflows to preserve institutional knowledge
- Contribute to architecture and feature decisions for the confidential new product
Requirements
- Full-stack development experience
- Familiarity with AI-assisted or agentic development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
- Backend development skills in Python and FastAPI
- Front-end proficiency in JavaScript, with a preference for Vue
- Experience with SQL databases and data layers
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Git-based version control, and agile workflows
- Comfort owning both greenfield builds and ongoing support of live client-facing systems
- Communication skills to work directly with non-engineering teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with React or Angular
- Familiarity with LLM APIs, vector search, or media and marketing AI workflows
