This opportunity suits software engineers with deep hands-on expertise in modern software engineering methodologies and enterprise environments. Individuals will tackle system integrations, resolve production defects, write clean code, and participate in technical design and architecture decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise applications, web services, and system integrations
- Build scalable client-server applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs
- Create front-end applications using modern web technologies and frameworks
- Perform code reviews to enforce best practices and write maintainable code
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues
- Create and maintain data models across structured and unstructured platforms
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate application deployments
- Deploy and support cloud-based applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Manage containerised environments using tools like Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker
- Develop automated test scripts and execute various testing activities including unit, integration, and performance testing
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements
- Experience in software development utilizing Java, Scala, Python, C#, or C/C++
- Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, and XML
- Experience developing full-stack applications, web services, and RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of messaging and middleware technologies including IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere, or Open Message Queue
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, alongside NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
- Hands-on experience deploying software to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker
- Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration and troubleshooting
- Backend expertise in Java, microservices, and enterprise integration
- Frontend expertise in JavaScript, AngularJS or modern frameworks, and ASP.NET MVC/Web API
- Collaboration tool experience with Jira, Confluence, and the Atlassian suite
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience working in banking, financial services, or fintech environments
