Linqia seeks a Fullstack Engineer to join the team as a long-term contractor working remotely from home in the Medellin, Colombia area. The person in this role will develop user-facing features and build scalable server-side systems. Responsibilities include constructing responsive frontends using Vue.js, TypeScript, and CSS, alongside developing robust Python backends and managing SQL database queries. Responsibilities
- Build user-facing features for the Linqia Platform utilizing Vue.js, Vuex, and TypeScript
- Translate business needs and user goals into intuitive interface experiences in collaboration with product, design, and QA teams
- Architect and implement server-side applications and microservices using Python
- Write complex SQL queries, such as with Trino, to gather and analyze data across multiple sources
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot both relational and non-relational databases
- Integrate RESTful APIs with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end functionality
- Write thoroughly tested features, participate in code reviews, and build comprehensive end-to-end integration tests
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience encompassing both frontend and backend development
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 or SCSS, JavaScript with TypeScript, Vue.js, Vuex or Pinia, and Webpack or Vite
- Proficiency in Python with experience building and integrating APIs via FastAPI
- Skills in SQL, database optimization, and working with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Proficiency in the English language
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or further education and experience in a technical domain
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker
- Knowledge of message queues and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
- Understanding of caching mechanisms, performance optimization techniques, and performance testing tools
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks using large language models
