DISCO is seeking a General Manager for DISCOx to lead an internal AI-native litigation venture and transform it into a high-growth revenue driver. Operating as a business leader, this fully remote role reports directly to the Chief Product, Technology & Strategy Officer. The position suits an experienced professional capable of building a business line from scratch, owning P&L economics, shaping go-to-market strategies, and closing initial enterprise deals. DISCO delivers cloud-native, artificial intelligence-powered legal solutions that streamline ediscovery, document review, and case management for corporate legal departments, law firms, and government entities.
The chosen candidate will direct cross-functional teams across marketing, finance, product, and sales while managing variable AI delivery costs and gross margins. Responsibilities include shaping the feature roadmap, defining pricing structures, running early-stage customer pilots, and determining when the venture is ready for full-scale operations. All employees at DISCO are expected to actively adopt and responsibly utilize artificial intelligence tools to improve operational efficiency and work outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute the complete commercial model, including go-to-market strategy, buyer segmentation, pricing, and packaging
- Partner with executives to run early-stage pilots and secure initial paying clients with general counsel and law firm litigation partners
- Act as the primary business owner for the DISCOx product by establishing feature roadmaps and translating field feedback into software features
- Lead the internal incubator as a business leader by directing lean direct staff and mobilizing cross-functional capacity across multiple departments
- Oversee P&L economics, gross margins, and variable AI delivery costs while providing monthly performance updates to executive leadership
- Align internal leadership and board members regarding business objectives and represent DISCO to the market
Requirements
- Have eight to ten years of progressive professional experience, including a history of building a business line or product from the ground up
- Possess direct experience managing P&L or business unit economics, gross margins, and variable cost structures
- Demonstrate hands-on experience closing complex enterprise deals with conservative buyers such as corporate legal departments and law firm management committees
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
- Proactively adopt and responsibly utilize artificial intelligence tools in the role
Qualifications
- Experience defining pricing, packaging, and commercial positioning in uncharted markets from scratch
- Ability to hold technical architecture conversations with engineering teams and conduct high-stakes commercial negotiations
- Proficiency with financial modeling, margin design, and data analytics tools
