Job Description
TRM Labs builds artificial-intelligence intelligence solutions utilized by public and private sector agencies to disrupt crime, trace illicit transactions, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. The organization is currently seeking a Global Investigator (APAC) to join the triage team as the initial operational defense line within a fast-moving crypto disruption pipeline. In this capacity, the professional will process inbound complaints, validate outputs generated by the artificial-intelligence investigation platform, and route cases into investigative pipelines designed to freeze scam proceeds and seize assets.
This position requires managing complaint dispositions that lead to freezes, takedowns, recovery handoffs, legal-process drafts, victim notifications, or closures. Responsibilities include processing high volumes of complaint dispositions weekly, correcting artificial-intelligence errors prior to downstream propagation, enriching selectors using numerous commercial data-source integrations, and tracing funds through consolidation wallets to regulated exchanges or other actionable endpoints. The role also entails maintaining shift handoffs to provide continuous regional coverage.
Successful candidates will possess substantial investigative or analytical experience featuring blockchain analysis, alongside strong artificial-intelligence fluency to operate AI tools as a daily co-pilot. The daily schedule aligns with standard business hours in the local time zone, accompanied by a formal on-call rotation for time-sensitive matters like hacks and law-enforcement support.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound complaint data and validate artificial-intelligence investigation platform outputs
- Route cases into investigative pipelines that result in frozen scam proceeds and seized assets
- Validate and route hundreds of complaint dispositions per week to feed a live asset-recovery pipeline
- Catch artificial-intelligence errors including false positives, merged syndicates, and misclassified scam patterns before downstream propagation
- Enrich complaint selectors using a stack of over forty commercial data-source integrations
- Trace funds through consolidation wallets to regulated exchanges or other actionable endpoints
- Maintain clean shift handoffs to provide regional coverage while colleagues in other areas are offline
Requirements
- Four or more years of investigative or analytical experience in either the public or private sector
- Hands-on blockchain analysis experience including tracing funds across chains and attributing addresses to real-world actors
- Demonstrated experience building or contributing to cases resulting in a freeze, seizure, arrest, or takedown
- Strong artificial-intelligence fluency with comfort using AI tools as a daily co-pilot and recognizing errors
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, fluid environment with shifting project scope and emphasis
