Labelbox is seeking a Global Specialized Domain Expert Recruiter to operate as an independent contractor on a fully remote basis. This contract role invites professionals located in Latin America, Mexico, Europe, and comparable regions to manage their own calendars and execute targeted outbound sourcing.
The organization provides critical infrastructure for artificial intelligence development, maintaining a platform of integrated solutions that includes an enterprise platform, a frontier data labeling service called Alignerr, and an expert marketplace. In this position, the contractor acts as a precision hunter rather than a volume recruiter, connecting world-class subject matter experts with advanced artificial intelligence initiatives.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and experienced in talent acquisition or executive search. The work involves identifying and engaging senior-level professionals such as PhDs, researchers, academics, and industry practitioners across specialized fields including quantitative finance, scientific computing, cybersecurity, mathematics, engineering, healthcare, and law. Contractors are compensated through an uncapped, performance-based commission model for every successful placement, offering direct rewards for high agency and rapid execution within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Run targeted outbound sourcing campaigns to find hard-to-reach subject matter experts
- Source professionals across priority domains like scientific computing, cybersecurity, quantitative finance, engineering, mathematics, healthcare, and legal
- Identify PhDs, researchers, professors, and experienced industry specialists with deep domain knowledge
- Build and manage pipelines of niche, high-caliber experts for ongoing and future projects
- Assess candidates regarding technical depth, professional accomplishments, and communication abilities
- Communicate opportunities clearly and build professional relationships with busy senior candidates
- Guide candidates through the entire recruiting process from initial outreach to placement
- Operate independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment on a self-managed schedule
Requirements
- Proven experience in recruiting, sourcing, or talent acquisition
- Skill in outbound sourcing via LinkedIn, academic institutions, research communities, professional associations, GitHub, and conferences
- Comfort with identifying and engaging senior-level professionals such as PhDs, researchers, faculty, and industry experts
- Strong self-motivation, organization, and drive for performance-based compensation
- Excellent written communication skills to engage professionals across diverse cultures and time zones
- Residency in Latin America, Mexico, Europe, or a comparable region with capability to work fully remotely
Qualifications
- Experience recruiting research, academic, scientific, engineering, healthcare, legal, cybersecurity, or quantitative finance talent
- Demonstrated success sourcing PhDs, researchers, or other difficult-to-reach expert populations
- Background working in agency recruiting, executive search, or commission-based recruiting environments
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence, reinforcement learning, or data annotation workflows
