Chiltern Park Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for a remote position. The employing enterprise is a multinational engineering market leader operating globally across multiple sectors, including automotive, scientific, pharmaceutical, electronics, renewable energy, consumer products, and food processing. In this capacity, the professional will focus on designing all aspects of new products, reviewing customer requests, collaborating on concept designs, and conducting product testing.

Responsibilities
- Review sales requests for customised existing automation and pneumatic products to verify specifications
- Collaborate with designers to produce concept designs addressing client requests
- Create detailed part drawings to support prototype testing alongside designers
- Test pneumatic and automation products
- Manage assigned projects through to timely completion
- Participate in larger scale projects under the supervision of a senior engineer
- Deliver technical product support to European subsidiaries
- Travel to visit customers and establish technical requirements for special products
- Engage in technical market research activities
- Provide technical guidance concerning standards and directives relevant to automation products
Requirements
- Hold a minimum 2.2 degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Automotive Engineering (BENG or MENG), excluding Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Product Design degrees
- Demonstrate project management experience, which can be acquired at university
- Possess experience writing technical reports
- Demonstrate the ability to function within a multicultural team
- Be able to travel to European customers when necessary
- Possess basic computing skills including MS Word and Excel
- Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English proficiency
- Hold British citizenship or proof of a permanent right to work in the UK
Qualifications
- Prior experience working within a design or engineering environment
- Practical CAD experience gained through a sandwich placement, internship, or general employment
- Relevant engineering experience
