Job Description
This full-time finance role works across One Acre Fund's multi-country grants and funding partnerships, linking financial planning, accounting, donor fundraising and on-the-ground program work. The senior associate or manager builds and checks budgets, forecasts and reports, and supports grant audits and financial controls.
The position also covers system and process improvements and guidance for one or two finance staff. It suits a candidate with strong analytical judgment and eight or more years of relevant finance experience, such as FP&A, audit or advisory work. Grant background is useful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assess new funding opportunities and build budgets and forecasts for grants
- Supervise financial reporting for grants and make sure funds follow donor rules and internal policy
- Take charge of grant audit and assurance work to strengthen controls and documentation
- Improve reporting, automation and business intelligence for the grants portfolio
Requirements
- Eight or more years in FP&A, finance, audit, advisory or consulting
- Strong experience in planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls
- Skill in managing stakeholders and communicating clearly
Qualifications
- Chartered accountancy credential (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA or similar) is strongly favoured
- A first-level university qualification in finance, accounting, business or economics, with a master's preferred
