Job Description
Credible is a consumer finance marketplace operating in the United States that helps individuals evaluate and contrast personalized options for credit cards, insurance, personal loans, student loans, and mortgages. The company also collaborates with lenders and financial institutions to power comparison and distribution channels. The organization is currently hiring a Growth Specialist, also referred to as a Performance Marketing Analyst, to manage paid acquisition for auto insurance on the Israel-based paid marketing team.
This individual contributor role begins hands-on with SEM through Google Ads for the auto insurance sector, with plans to expand into paid social and emerging formats through the 2027 fiscal year. The position requires competing against national carriers and rival marketplaces at the state level under variable economics. Reporting to the Senior Performance Marketing Lead and collaborating closely with the Head of Performance Marketing, the successful candidate operates with high autonomy and real budget ownership.
This opportunity suits a performance marketing professional with extensive hands-on experience in the U.S. auto insurance market who thrives in an independent, data-driven environment. Daily tasks involve campaign construction, state-level performance management, quote funnel diagnostics, competitive auction tracking, and compliance-aware execution. Qualified individuals will demonstrate fluency in lead-generation economics and direct-response paid media strategies while maintaining clear communication with remote teams in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and optimize SEM campaigns for auto insurance by handling keyword research, ad copy creation, bid management, negative keyword hygiene, and match type strategies.
- Oversee performance at the state and DMA level using location bid modifiers and state-segmented campaign structures to account for regional differences in carrier availability and premiums.
- Monitor quote-start and quote-completion rates across devices and locations to identify drop-off points in the quote flow and collaborate with product management and CRO teams to resolve them.
- Track auction dynamics relative to direct carriers and rival comparison marketplaces, adjusting bids and messaging in response to shifting competitor spend and seasonality.
- Expand channel ownership beyond search into additional platforms over time.
- Evaluate daily performance against revenue and gross profit margin targets to spot underperforming campaigns and execute proactive corrective actions.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure ad copy and landing pages adhere to insurance advertising regulations, licensing disclosures, and regional restrictions.
- Prepare weekly performance reports that highlight issues with relevant context and proposed solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience running paid media for U.S. auto insurance at a carrier, agency, or comparison marketplace.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Google Ads experience within a direct-response or performance environment with proven ROAS improvement or CPA reduction on actual budgets.
- Experience running Meta Ads or TikTok Ads campaigns.
- Strong familiarity with lead-generation economics, including revenue per click, revenue per lead, lead quality, and payout structures.
- Technical proficiency in Smart Bidding, keyword match types, Quality Score optimization, search term analysis, geo-targeting, and campaign structuring best practices.
- Independent decision-making capability within established guardrails.
- Proficiency in written English to summarize performance and reasoning for a U.S.-based team.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working at an insurance comparison marketplace or aggregator.
- Exposure to Microsoft Advertising and Bing Ads.
- Experience collaborating remotely with U.S.-based teams.
- Familiarity with Performance Max campaigns.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
