The Head of Accounting leads finance operations for several online retail businesses and one manufacturing business within the group. Responsibilities cover month-end and year-end close, annual financial statements, receivables and payables, vendor and payment management, invoice sign-off, controls and fraud prevention. The leader writes accounting policies under U.S. GAAP, evaluates and rolls out accounting systems and automation, trains and guides the accounting team, and serves as the main contact for banks and auditors.

Responsibilities
- Run accounting for the group's online retail businesses and its manufacturing arm.
- Design processes covering receivables, payables, payments, vendor management, invoice approval and fraud prevention.
- Write the accounting rules and control steps the group follows, consistent with U.S. GAAP.
- Own month-end and year-end close, financial statement accuracy, and internal and external audits.
- Assess, recommend and roll out accounting systems, tools and automation.
- Coach and guide the accounting staff across every process and system.
- Track cash flow, reconcile accounts and watch compliance with local and international rules.
- Be the main liaison with banks, auditors and other outside parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's level degree in accounting or finance.
- At least eight years leading accounting teams.
- Proven IFRS or U.S. GAAP practice.
- Hands-on grasp of receivables, payables, payment flows, vendor oversight, invoice sign-off and audit work.
- Experience building accounting policies, controls and process upgrades.
- Demonstrated success preventing fraud and vendor-related scams.
- Comfort with ERP or accounting platforms such as QuickBooks.
- Confident leadership and communication, including coaching accounting staff.
- Organized, proactive and analytical, with close attention to detail.
