Job Description
hyperexponential is recruiting a Head of Agentic Field Engineering to lead technical delivery across the Americas. The company builds AI-driven pricing and underwriting software for insurers and says it serves close to 50 of the largest insurers worldwide. The role is remote, with compensation listed between 250,000 and 300,000 USD.
Field engineering here delivers customer implementations, blending hands-on technical delivery, customer change work and agentic AI in pricing and underwriting. The head would take charge of the Americas delivery effort, from the first customer discussion through to premium written live on the platform. Duties include leading technical bootcamps on large opportunities with agent builders, creating an internal agentic operating system that brings the team up to speed, and feeding field-built features into the core product via a steady cadence with product leaders. Performance is tracked by platform throughput, time-to-launch for new business lines, and annual recurring revenue per head, and each player-coach receives a development plan.
Applicants should have personally built agentic AI systems recently and be able to walk through harness design, tooling and quality validation. A path from engineering into management, while still building, is expected, as is evidence of internal tools that made a team noticeably faster. Experience in enterprise sales with long cycles and several buying groups helps, as does judgment about trade-offs under deadline pressure. A record of developing player-coaches and of mastering unfamiliar domains quickly under customer pressure is essential.
Benefits include a 6,000 USD budget for training and conferences, full medical, dental and vision, mental-health support, a medical membership service, flexible vacation, a 401(k), and top-tier equipment. There are also hackathons, team lunches and office socials at a shared workspace. Interviews include a talent partner screen, a hiring manager conversation, a skills test, a values interview and a session with the CEO and co-founder.
