Job Description
OKX is looking for a remote Head of Marketing Compliance to join its Product Compliance team as a senior individual contributor. Operating as a trusted partner throughout the product development lifecycle, this position focuses on daily reviews for new offerings, material product alterations, and feature enhancements across a global exchange and wallet ecosystem. The ideal candidate balances regulatory rigor with commercial viability, utilizing a risk-based approach to protect the company while supporting business objectives.
The person in this role will evaluate technical documents, user paths, trading mechanics, reward models, onboarding setups, and promotional materials. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive risk evaluations covering areas such as AML, sanctions, KYC, consumer protection, and market conduct. Success in this position requires differentiating between absolute regulatory blockers and risks manageable through proportionate controls or appropriate escalations.
This role suits professionals with extensive background in compliance, legal, or risk within fintech, financial services, payments, or digital assets. The position demands strong project management capabilities, stakeholder management, and the ability to work independently within a globally distributed organization.

- Deliver evidence-based recommendations outlining identified risks, necessary safeguards, and proposed approval or escalation pathways.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and regional compliance teams to formulate practical solutions.
- Maintain complete documentation and audit trails covering decisions, exceptions, conditions, and approvals.
- Assist with post-launch monitoring, control testing, and issue remediation alongside audit and compliance units.
- Promote a compliance-by-design mindset by sharing program guidelines and delivering guidance to business teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, or risk within financial services, fintech, payments, or crypto.
- Substantial hands-on background in product compliance, regulatory advisory, or product risk evaluation.
- Thorough familiarity with digital-asset industry offerings such as trading, custody, payments, staking, lending, and wallets.
- Working knowledge of regulations regarding licensing perimeters, AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC, consumer protection, and market conduct.
- Proven capability to translate complex regulatory mandates into practical product controls.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled technology for risk assessment standards and tuning agentic skills.
- Strong risk judgment, project management skills, and execution capabilities to meet launch deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Direct product compliance or regulatory advisory background at a cryptocurrency exchange, fintech, or technology-led financial firm.
- Experience supporting multi-jurisdictional product rollouts across the United States, European Union, Middle East, or Asia-Pacific.
- Practical knowledge of CeFi trading products including spot, derivatives, leverage, custody, and OTC flows.
- Familiarity with Web3 products, blockchain technology, smart contracts, DeFi protocols, and digital-asset transactions.
