WorkMotion is hiring an HR Operations Specialist to join its remote-first team. The organization assists international companies in hiring, onboarding, and managing global talent. In this role, the professional will act as a main HR advisor primarily focused on France, while also assisting with employment matters across other European regions.
This position requires an individual who enjoys solving complex employment challenges, maintaining compliance, and delivering strong client and employee experiences. Daily tasks involve partnering with clients, steering employees through various stages of the employment lifecycle, and streamlining operational procedures. The selected candidate will cooperate closely with legal, payroll, finance, product, and leadership teams.
The position is open on a full-time basis for applicants located within plus or minus two hours of Central European Time. WorkMotion operates as an equal opportunity employer.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR advisor for assigned countries, with a main focus on France
- Manage complex employment matters throughout the entire employee lifecycle
- Ensure adherence to local employment laws by offering expert guidance and maintaining country-specific processes
- Resolve HR inquiries and support key employment events for clients and employees
- Improve operational efficiency through continuous process standardization and optimization
- Coordinate cross-functionally with legal, payroll, finance, product, and external partners
- Handle reporting, audits, HR administration, knowledge management, and strategic projects
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in HR operations, employee lifecycle management, HR advisory, or a comparable client-facing HR role
- Demonstrated knowledge of French employment law and HR practices
- Capability to balance customer demands, compliance rules, and business goals
- Proficiency in stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and project management
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French
Qualifications
- Background working in an Employer of Record, global mobility, payroll, or international HR setting
- Experience assisting multinational clients across various jurisdictions
- Familiarity with HRIS software and process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of additional European languages and familiarity with regional employment laws
