Job Description

XO Health builds coverage for self-insured employers, delivering care through a value-driven provider network, contract-risk tooling and real-time analytics. The full-time, remote Implementation Lead position is about launching new employer clients and TPA partners, starting at contract signing and running through go-live and early operations.

The lead owns an accurate, on-schedule launch. That means building each client's plan correctly, confirming eligibility files flow, producing ID cards and welcome kits, configuring the member app and keeping the client informed at each checkpoint. The work is hands-on and also includes building a repeatable playbook so every rollout is quicker and cleaner than the one before. Colleagues in claims, IT and compliance, among other groups, are part of each rollout, and clients, brokers and TPA partners reach out to this lead first.

Candidates should have five-plus years of rollout, onboarding or project delivery work in self-funded benefits, third-party administration or health insurance. A grasp of how self-funded medical and drug plans are designed, plus the rules that govern them such as ERISA, ACA, CAA and parity law, is expected. Experience running complicated, multi-party launches on a fixed date is important, and precision and clear communication matter more than technical skill.

Responsibilities

  • Run complete launches for new employer clients and TPAs, from kickoff to post-launch stability
  • Maintain each client's implementation plan, covering benefit design, group structure and eligibility
  • Oversee accurate group setup across internal systems and partner platforms
  • Confirm plan setup, eligibility testing, member IDs, welcome packets and app configuration before launch
  • Lead the multi-department team and monitor major checkpoints
  • Raise risks early and escalate with a recommendation
  • Give leadership regular status updates and flag anything that threatens a launch
  • Be the first point of contact for clients, brokers and TPAs
  • Hand off complete documentation to the ongoing account owner
  • Own the implementation playbook and identify manual steps to automate

Requirements

  • Five-plus years of implementation or project work in self-funded benefits, TPA operations or health insurance
  • Practical understanding of self-funded medical and drug plan design and related compliance
  • Experience leading complex, multi-party healthcare rollouts on a fixed date
  • Understanding of how employers, brokers, administrators and stop-loss carriers connect
  • At ease with eligibility feeds, enrollment records and system configuration
  • Clear, concise communicator who can lead client conversations

Qualifications

  • Experience implementing for or alongside a TPA
  • Background at an early-stage or fast-growing company where the process was built from scratch
  • Familiar with health plan software, member apps or provider directory systems
  • PMP or similar project management credential
