Bosch is seeking an Asst Manager for Product Management to handle project execution and product portfolio oversight for hydraulic external gear pumps. This on-site role involves acting as the central coordination interface among customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, planning, finance, and global product teams.
The successful candidate will manage new customer initiatives, prototype builds, Production Part Approval Process deliveries, product localization, and portfolio optimization from initial kickoff through industrialization and production handover. Responsibilities include tracking project schedules, mitigating delivery risks, supporting cost estimates, coordinating resource planning, and monitoring inventory levels. Additional duties involve driving profit margin improvement projects, overseeing value analysis and engineering initiatives, maintaining documentation governance, and ensuring 5S standards are upheld in the work area.
This position is suited for professionals experienced in project and product management within a manufacturing or technical environment, requiring cross-functional collaboration and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track customer projects from initiation through prototype creation, PPAP, and production handover
- Develop project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional teams to deliver product and project documentation on schedule
- Monitor project status, dependencies, and risks while driving issue resolution
- Align component and material availability with planning, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality departments
- Oversee product portfolio activities for hydraulic external gear pumps including standard and high-performance families
- Collect and translate market and customer requirements into functional project priorities
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in prototype manufacturing and delivery lead times
- Support commercial estimations, costing calculations, and budget planning
- Review slow-moving and non-moving inventory to execute reduction and transfer strategies
- Coordinate value analysis, value engineering, and endurance testing schedules
- Serve as the primary communication interface for delivery commitments, project status, and customer requests
- Manage product transfers and localization milestones with international and domestic stakeholders
- Drive profit margin improvement initiatives and monitor progress against business targets
Requirements
- Proficiency in English, Kannada, and Hindi languages
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Mechatronics
- Training or qualification in Project Management
