This full-time position operates remotely within Canada and offers a base salary between USD 105,000 and 130,000 per year. The company builds AI-powered technology for appointment scheduling, video banking, in-branch queuing, and workforce management.
In this role, the engineer joins the site reliability team to manage and improve infrastructure, deployment procedures, and system reliability. Key duties involve collaborating with senior engineers, supporting Kubernetes clusters, maintaining databases such as MySQL, and helping establish infrastructure for internal AI initiatives using cloud services. The position also participates in a shared on-call rotation to maintain production application availability.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, and maintain critical business applications alongside team members
- Assist in maintaining Kubernetes clusters and support infrastructure improvements
- Help build and operate infrastructure supporting engineering AI initiatives and LLM workloads
- Write automation scripts and tooling utilizing Python, Bash, Go, or Shell
- Configure and manage MySQL and Redis databases
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to facilitate safe software delivery
- Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and observability systems utilizing tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support production systems and handle incidents
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure roles
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or alternative orchestration tools
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and continuous deployment pipelines
- Experience managing cloud resources through Terraform, including basic knowledge of modules and workspaces
- Proficiency with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
- Working knowledge of Linux and Unix administration
- Familiarity with networking basics such as IP addressing, DNS, and ACLs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Prior general banking or financial institutions experience
- Hands-on use of AI coding agents for infrastructure-as-code, scripting, or troubleshooting
