This role focuses on building backend services, APIs, and microservices to enhance B2B commerce technology. Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java
- Build new features according to technical and business specifications
- Work alongside product managers, frontend developers, and QA engineers to deliver reliable software
- Write clean, maintainable code adhering to engineering best practices
- Engage in code reviews to uphold quality and development standards
- Identify, debug, and resolve production and non-production issues
- Design and create integrations with internal and external systems
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven applications
- Monitor performance to support system reliability, observability, and scalability
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for architecture and operational excellence
Requirements
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Experience in backend application development using Java
- Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, Clean Code, SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Working knowledge of Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem
- Experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience using relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Familiarity with messaging tools such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
- Experience with Git and collaborative workflows
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Understanding of logging, monitoring, and metrics observability concepts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Experience using monitoring software like New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
