Responsibilities
- Execute and support the company SOX compliance program across IT and business process controls
- Conduct process walkthroughs with business owners and document key controls in risk-control matrices
- Design and update process flowcharts, narratives, and test plans aligned with current practices
- Perform control testing according to PCAOB and external auditor standards
- Track and validate remediation for control deficiencies to guarantee timely resolutions
- Contribute to annual SOX scoping and risk evaluation initiatives
- Review organizational changes, system deployments, and acquisitions for potential SOX impacts
- Collaborate across Finance, Accounting, HR, Operations, and IT departments
- Gather and manage documentation for internal and external audit inquiries
- Utilize the AuditBoard GRC platform to retain and organize SOX workpapers
Requirements
- Possess 4 to 6 years of experience in internal audit, SOX compliance, or external audit at a large or Big 4 accounting firm or a public company
- Demonstrate strong comprehension of COSO internal control frameworks and SOX 404 mandates
- Show hands-on background managing business process controls including financial close, payroll, inventory, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay
- Reside inside the United States
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of application
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a closely related field
- Obtain a CPA, CIA, or CISA certification
