Job Description
Luscii is hiring an iOS Developer to build and enhance mobile applications for the OMRON Digital Health Circle, including OMRON Connect and the Luscii Thuismeten app. These digital health solutions assist healthcare professionals in monitoring patients remotely, aiming to reduce burdens and create more space for care.
In this role, you will combine hands-on development with technical leadership, collaborating with support, development, and quality assurance teams. You will have the autonomy to make architectural decisions, create proofs of concept, and guide the technical direction of the codebase under a Holacratic organizational model.
The position is remote-first, allowing you to work from anywhere in The Netherlands while participating in monthly in-person team gatherings called Assemblii. Ideal candidates are self-starters who value open communication, transparency, and trust, while possessing a strong background in mobile software engineering.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize iOS applications utilizing Swift with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and user experience
- Contribute to architectural design, technical decisions, and the evolution of a modular codebase
- Construct prototypes and proofs of concept to validate technical ideas early in the process
- Design intuitive interfaces tailored specifically for Apple devices
- Build and maintain application features that integrate with Bluetooth Low Energy equipment
- Investigate production bugs, conduct code reviews, and guide colleagues on proper implementations
- Examine emerging mobile technologies such as SwiftUI to evaluate their potential application
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional background as a mobile or iOS developer
- Practical background working within an Agile development environment
- Proficiency in writing UI tests and/or unit tests for mobile software
- Familiarity with object-oriented software design alongside architectural models like MVVM
- Experience interacting with web services, APIs, and cloud technologies
- Ability to debug networking, multithreading, and memory management challenges
- Fluency in English for internal communication
- Willingness to operate within a Holacratic organizational structure

- Relevant bachelor's degree in a discipline such as Computer Engineering or Computer Science
