Job Description
Docplanner is seeking a Knowledge Architect and Product Enablement Expert to establish and manage the architecture of its product knowledge. As part of a global healthcare platform connecting millions of patients and doctors across multiple countries, this role centers on transforming how technical rules, features, and content are structured, extracted from code repositories, and utilized by internal teams and AI assistants like Kraken and Noa.
This position is ideal for an experienced documentation or knowledge management professional who is comfortable working directly with Git and GitHub, designing metadata models, and guiding teams through a shift from traditional article writing to fact-checking. The work involves auditing current internal documentation, defining sustainable content workflows, collaborating with product managers and engineers, and creating training guides to ensure knowledge stays accurate amidst dozens of monthly software releases.
Docplanner offers a supportive international environment with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration across global hubs. The hiring process includes an introductory chat, a hiring manager interview, a business case exercise, an optional final conversation with a senior leader or peer, and reference checks. Candidates must have the legal right to work in their country of residence or the job location, as visa sponsorship is unavailable for this vacancy.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the content model and metadata structure for product knowledge, serving both internal and external user bases
- Extract feature logic and rules directly from code repositories on GitHub to generate clear documentation
- Audit existing internal articles to determine whether to rewrite, migrate, replace, or archive them based on usage and update frequency
- Create guides, examples, and training sessions to help the team transition from writing articles to verifying self-contained facts
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Marketing, and Product Experts to capture knowledge not present in the code, such as market variations and screen wording
- Define update triggers and alert workflows to keep knowledge accurate despite frequent product releases
- Test the output quality of AI assistants against a fixed list of questions
Requirements
- Have four to seven years of professional experience in technical writing, documentation engineering, knowledge management, developer experience, or solutions engineering
- Possess hands-on comfort with Git and GitHub, including managing branches and reading through codebases
- Demonstrate experience in designing content structures, metadata standards, and repository-hosted documentation using Markdown, YAML, or JSON
- Understand how AI assistants retrieve content and how to test generated answers
- Have experience driving expert reviews and teaching teams new operational workflows
- Communicate professionally in written and spoken English
- Hold the legal right to work in the country of residence or location of the role without visa sponsorship
Qualifications
- Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Italian, or others beyond English
