The Laboratory Analyst at SGS in Cape Town processes and analyses samples using established methods, in support of the quality and management systems. Duties include recording results on QC charts, evaluating control data, operating instruments, keeping logbooks and taking part in method validation. The role also plans work around sample volumes, monitors chemical and consumable stock, and keeps the workplace safe and tidy. Responsibilities
- Process and analyse samples and quality control samples using standard methods
- Record results on QC charts and report deviations promptly
- Operate instruments and keep maintenance and quality control logbooks
