Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver advanced machine learning, generative, and agentic AI solutions
- Drive the adoption of cloud-native architectures, modern AI frameworks, and AIOps best practices
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and collaborate directly with clients to translate business challenges into trustworthy solutions
- Ensure responsible AI practices are maintained throughout project lifecycles
- Manage, coach, and support the career development and performance of a small group of staff
- Offer direction and leadership to help teams resolve complex engineering problems
Requirements
- A minimum of a 2.1 degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline
- Demonstrable experience deploying modern AI and machine learning solutions into production, covering prompt engineering, RAG, and model evaluation
- Strong Python programming capabilities grounded in software engineering best practices such as CI/CD, testing, and code reviews
- Experience developing scalable solutions on cloud platforms including Azure and AWS, along with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Expertise in data engineering for AI, including managing large-scale, unstructured, and multimodal data
- Solid understanding of responsible AI principles, ethical considerations, and model interpretability
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead client projects and communicate technical requirements in plain language
- Prior experience coaching, managing, and developing junior team members and the wider community
Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Experience fine-tuning or distilling large language models including Claude, GPT, Gemini, and Llama
- Proficiency with machine learning libraries like scikit-learn and XGBoost
- Experience managing data storage for AI, including knowledge graphs, semantic search, and vector databases
- Demonstrated contributions to open-source AI projects or research publications
- Familiarity with compliance standards, privacy, and AI security such as ISO 42001
