  • Evaluate technical designs and source code from colleagues while offering constructive feedback.
  • Mentor engineering staff to boost the technical competence of the broader team.
  • Spot architectural vulnerabilities and technical risks early in the development cycle.
  • Collaborate alongside product, design, AI, and engineering departments to release quality products rapidly.
  • Enhance development automation, tools, and practices to boost team output.
  • Monitor deployed production systems, investigate incidents, and fix root causes to maintain long-term reliability.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated background in software engineering encompassing the creation and deployment of production systems.
  • Expertise in technical domains such as distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, databases, application programming interfaces, frontend, or backend development.
  • Solid system design and architecture capabilities for complex or high-scale environments.
  • Strong programming skills combined with a willingness to stay hands-on with code.
  • Demonstrated experience directing major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to peers.
  • Familiarity with debugging intricate problems, reviewing code, and handling live production environments.
  • Proficiency in English communication to interact with a global, distributed team.
