Day-to-day duties involve leading support staff, monitoring dashboards, conducting root-cause analysis, and partnering with cross-functional groups to enhance operational efficiency. The person in this position reports directly to the Manager, Provider Data Operations and acts as a culture carrier to motivate and guide colleagues toward daily operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Hire, manage, and support a team of colleagues while handling performance management, professional growth, and administrative human resources tasks
- Monitor dashboards and operational key performance indicators to track team outcomes, performing root-cause analysis and building action plans when problems occur
- Make volume-based decisions using a strong understanding of daily team tasks to best serve customers
- Lead team huddles to communicate organizational mission, vision, and values while motivating staff to reach daily operational targets
- Foster an inclusive culture aligned with company values and drive team engagement
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to develop a high-performing production team and resolve gaps in existing workflows
- Collaborate across production and other internal departments to establish best practices
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and laws
Requirements
- Two or more years of provider data experience within a health insurance company
- At least one year of direct people management experience
- Minimum one year of experience utilizing data and metrics to drive improvements
- At least one year of experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations
- Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, or Texas
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- Lean Six Sigma or Process Improvement certification
- Prior healthcare or insurance industry experience
- Advanced capabilities in Google Suite or Microsoft Office
- Two or more years of experience resolving complex inquiries
- At least one year of project management experience
