Job Description
Datacor, Inc. is seeking a Lead Product Manager to oversee its Feed ERP product line, which includes Feed Mill Manager and Pennent Mill Manager. The employer develops software solutions such as ERP, CRM, Asset Tracking, and Simulation and Formulation to support process manufacturing and agricultural industries, helping businesses operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
In this position, the professional will take complete charge of the strategy, roadmap, revenue metrics, pricing, and packaging for the Feed ERP portfolio. Rather than focusing solely on backlog administration, the individual will be held accountable for product-level annual recurring revenue, win rates, and net revenue retention. The successful candidate will drive customer discovery, lead product advisory groups, direct AI-enabled feature development, oversee tiered product launches, and collaborate closely with engineering, services, support, and commercial teams.
This role is ideal for an experienced product leader with deep domain expertise in the agribusiness or feed manufacturing sector who excels at translating complex industry needs into profitable, market-ready software solutions. Responsibilities
- Manage the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Feed Mill Manager and Pennent Mill Manager
- Account for product-level annual recurring revenue, win rates, and net revenue retention
- Design pricing and packaging recommendations for presentation to the Datacor Pricing Committee
- Conduct competitive research, win and loss analysis, and lead the product advisory group
- Test product concepts with customers using AI-built prototypes and establish success criteria
- Oversee AI-enabled product capabilities, trust factors, and discovery workflows
- Prioritize the engineering backlog against the product roadmap and manage tiered product launches
- Enable Sales, Services, and Support teams through battlecards and objection handling materials
Requirements
- Deep background in the feed industry, agribusiness, feed manufacturing, or commodity trading
- Working knowledge of at least two areas: commodity merchandising, ingredient procurement, feed plant operations, or livestock feed regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated experience owning a business-to-business software product roadmap and its commercial outcomes
- Proven commercial judgment with experience in pricing, packaging, win and loss analysis, or business cases
- Strong discovery skills to uncover core customer problems and validate them prior to engineering
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to present recommendations to executives and engineers
- Daily hands-on use of AI tools for research, drafting, analysis, and prototyping
- Technical familiarity with data models, system integrations, and product architecture
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience utilizing feed or ration formulation software
- Familiarity with animal nutrition or feed labeling regulations
- Background in software development
- Prior experience managing artificial intelligence or data-driven software capabilities
