This position suits an individual who enjoys analyzing educational programs, collaborating with reviewer teams, and translating findings into comprehensive published reports.

As an individual contributor and content specialist, the professional in this role will balance detailed evaluations with broader leadership duties. Responsibilities include guiding educator reviewers, refining evaluation tools, and serving as a subject matter expert across internal teams and external stakeholders. The position involves participating in reviewer meetings that may occasionally take place during late afternoons or evenings, as well as undertaking national travel for professional learning and organizational needs. Candidates must live in the United States and hold work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the evaluation of early literacy and foundational skills materials against established evidence-based criteria
  • Train and support educator reviewers to ensure consistent scoring calibration across teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to update content-specific evaluation tools and internal processes
  • Provide coaching and guidance to review teams to help them reach consensus on educational standards
  • Communicate evaluation outcomes and methodology to external groups such as districts, states, and publishers
  • Contribute approximately ten percent of working time to brand and thought leadership initiatives

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of seven years of professional experience in instruction, curriculum design, coaching, research, or program leadership
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Science of Reading, early literacy, learning progressions, and ELA instructional shifts
  • Show a strong understanding of the K-12 ELA educational policy landscape
  • Maintain residency in and legal authorization to work within the United States

Qualifications

  • Hold a Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Bring direct K-12 classroom teaching and coaching experience
  • Possess specialized expertise regarding multilingual learners or special populations
  • Demonstrate public speaking and thought leadership experience for external audiences
  • Have familiarity with software platforms such as Salesforce, Canvas, Adobe Creative Suite, and online learning management tools
