Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage problems through discovery, design, development, launch, and iteration
• Build across backend services, application programming interfaces, data layers, and frontends
• Identify and resolve gaps in merchant workflows, reconciliation processes, and system scalability
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Risk, and Compliance departments to shape product direction
• Drive architecture decisions focusing on security, idempotency, observability, and consistency
• Lead the integration of artificial intelligence tools into product features and engineering workflows
• Mentor mid-level and senior engineers while improving code and design review quality
• Evaluate and select appropriate programming languages, platforms, and frameworks

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience with production systems
• Full-stack capability spanning backend service design, data models, and frontends
• Product mindset focused on business and user outcomes
• Technology-agnostic background with the ability to learn new stacks quickly
• Daily use of artificial intelligence coding assistants, agents, and language model application programming interfaces
• Systems thinking regarding distributed architectures, databases, and application programming interfaces
• Communication skills suitable for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• High ownership and comfort working in ambiguous situations

Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or regulated environments such as SAMA or PCI DSS
• Background in building artificial intelligence-powered features including retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and evaluations
• Cloud infrastructure and DevOps knowledge covering containers, continuous integration and delivery, and observability
• Experience working with business-to-business or merchant-facing solutions
