Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures in accordance with department and faculty guidelines and standards
- Participate in department, faculty, and university activities such as meetings, training workshops, conferences, and seminars
- Conduct active research in an area of specialization that benefits students and the university
- Drive innovations that lead to tangible products and services
- Contribute to industrialization through the commercialization of products
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research work
- Teach modules including Urban Development, Planning and Management, Sustainable Cities, Dynamics of Urban Geography, Rural and Urban Livelihoods and Disaster Risk Reduction, and Urban Climatology
Requirements
- Hold a BSc/BA Honours Degree in Geography, Geography and Environmental Studies, Science, Sustainability, or a related field with at least a 2.1 pass
- Possess an MSc/MA Degree in Geography, Geography and Environmental Studies, Science, Sustainability, Management, Rural and Urban Planning, or a related field with at least a merit
- Demonstrate at least two years of university teaching experience
- Have at least two publications relevant to the field in accredited journals
- Provide a ZIMCHE qualifications assessment report if holding international qualifications
