In this capacity, the hired individual will handle legal, market, business, and competitive research alongside library operations and knowledge support. Key duties involve locating and retrieving statutes, dockets, regulations, cases, treatises, company records, and SEC filings. The associate will execute assigned research tasks, organize findings under senior guidance, review deliverables for quality control, and communicate with clients and internal team members via Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Responsibilities
- Locate and retrieve legal and business materials such as cases, dockets, statutes, regulations, treatises, company information, and SEC filings using foundational search methods and citations.
- Conduct assigned company, industry, market, and legal research by building search strategies, evaluating sources, and summarizing results with senior oversight.
- Inspect data, documents, citations, and deliverables to ensure they meet quality control standards, instructions, and accuracy requirements.
- Handle internal and client requests, ask clarifying questions, deliver prompt status updates, and escalate matters when necessary.
- Build professional research reports, summaries, presentations, and Excel workbooks following predefined templates.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and request management systems for collaboration, document archiving, and workflow tracking.
- Partner with peers to finish tasks punctually, join training sessions, share knowledge, and uphold company values.
Requirements
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree and prior work history within a legal services provider or law firm.
- Experience in finding legal and corporate documents, with familiarity regarding court systems, citations, terminology, and research procedures.
- Working knowledge of research tools like LexisNexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, EDGAR, Capital IQ, or docket and court databases.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities paired with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competence in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, organization, review, and professional presentation creation.
