Fincons Group, an IT business consulting organization with four decades of market experience, is searching for a Linux Architect. Operating as a multinational enterprise with over 2,600 personnel across multiple international offices, the company maintains a family-oriented culture rooted in collaboration. This position involves designing, building, and sustaining robust Linux infrastructure environments.
The Linux Architect will focus on system optimization, strategic planning, high availability, and security measures. Key duties include creating scalable VMware-based Linux platforms, reviewing system architectures for performance gains, managing server environments, and documenting workflows. The professional will also lead root cause analysis, automate administration using Ansible and Puppet, set up Prometheus and Grafana monitoring, execute server migrations from CentOS to Rocky Linux, and configure Apache Spark, Apache Solr, and RKE2 Kubernetes clusters with Helm charts. Additionally, the role entails mentoring less experienced engineers and advocating for DevOps and Platform Engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable Linux systems on VMware
- Conduct system architecture reviews to improve performance
- Manage server environments for optimal operation
- Document system configurations and procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate hardware and software solutions
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Automate system management tasks using Ansible and Puppet
- Implement monitoring solutions utilizing Grafana and Prometheus
- Upgrade servers from CentOS to Rocky Linux
- Configure Apache Spark and Apache Solr clusters
- Deploy RKE2 Kubernetes clusters and Helm charts
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps and Platform Engineering best practices
Requirements
- Proficiency in Linux administration and architecture
- Experience with VMware virtualization
- Skills in Ansible for automation
- Familiarity with monitoring tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, and Zabbix
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery
- Experience with server migration from CentOS to Rocky Linux
- Familiarity with Apache Spark for data processing
- Experience with Apache Solr for search
- Knowledge of RKE2 Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- English language proficiency at level B2 or higher
