Job Description
Crosslake Technologies advises private equity investors and the leaders of their portfolio companies on turning technology into measurable value. Its practice covers diligence, business transformation, scale-up programmes, security, AI and day-to-day execution. The firm states that service, curiosity, credibility, commitment and creativity guide its work.
This is an advisory and delivery role suited to a seasoned technology operator who has directly run integrations, separations or carve-outs. Assignments often begin before a deal signs or in the window between signing and closing. The practitioner assesses whether a technical combination or split is viable, where value and exposure lie, which elements must function on Day 1, and how much the plan will require financially. The posting is explicit that this is not a conventional PMO position. The practitioner must be willing to push back on a chief information officer, size up an organisation's systems, justify choices about what to move and when, and turn uncertainty into a credible route to Day 1 and beyond.
After closing, the practitioner may lead technology workstreams, run an integration or separation management office, or act as a temporary, part-time chief information officer. Responsibilities include reviewing transitional services agreements, planning changes to applications, data, identity and suppliers, and working with deal teams, operating partners, boards and technology leaders. Candidates need at least 15 years of technology experience with significant responsibility for strategy or delivery, and must have personally handled at least one deal that combined pre-close planning with post-close execution. The role is remote, requires collaboration across time zones and involves client travel when engagements require it.
Responsibilities
- Assess the technology estate for integration or separation feasibility before signing
- Identify tangled dependencies, shared services, stranded costs and key-person risks
- Estimate one-time, recurring and investment costs along with synergies and timing
- Review proposed transitional services agreements for scope, service levels and exit
- Convert diligence findings into an executable plan with owners, costs and milestones
- Define Day 1 requirements across applications, infrastructure, access, security and data
- Lead technology workstreams or management offices through to TSA exit
- Set up governance and reporting so leaders can see readiness and risk at a glance
Requirements
- At least 15 years in technology, with significant responsibility for strategy, operations or delivery
- Direct accountability for several deals involving integration, separation or carve-out work, one of them spanning pre-close and post-close phases
- Familiarity with most major technology areas, from enterprise applications to data, identity and suppliers
- Willingness to push back on senior technology leaders and make sound calls
- Commercial and financial fluency to explain costs, synergies and assumptions
- Strong written and spoken communication
- Hands-on, self-directed working style with clear ownership of outcomes
- Ability to work remotely across time zones and travel when needed
Qualifications
- Earlier roles as chief information officer, chief technology officer, head of IT or enterprise architect, or leading integration or separation technology
- Track record advising PE sponsors, portfolio operating partners or private-equity-backed leadership teams
- Deal experience on both the acquiring and selling side
- Hands-on time building a self-sufficient technology setup or completing TSA exits
- A bachelor's degree in a technology or business discipline is preferred, though practical experience can substitute and is weighed heavily
- Professional certifications covering architecture, security or cloud are helpful but optional
