The person in this role hires, coaches, and evaluates team members while establishing development trajectories. Responsibilities include defining quality standards for conversational agents, handling stakeholder communications across departments, and managing project capacity. The individual also directly participates in customer implementations, handles technical escalations, and converts field observations into product feedback.
Ideal candidates possess background in leading people either formally or through mentorship, along with several years of conversational agent development and conversation design expertise. Applicants should bring strong technical skills in JavaScript, advanced prompt engineering, and REST API integrations, alongside enterprise client management experience.
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, and coach Agent Architects while conducting regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews
- Establish team goals and objectives aligned with professional services priorities while handling workload capacity
- Guide customers directly through artificial intelligence agent implementations ranging from strategic design to delivery
- Act as the primary escalation point when agent performance issues arise
- Define and enforce quality standards for agent performance across active projects
- Translate recurring field challenges into structured feedback for the product team
Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in conversation design and artificial intelligence agent development
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable solution architecture and conversational experiences based on user needs
- Familiarity with advanced prompt engineering and REST API integration
- Proficiency working with JavaScript
- Experience managing enterprise customer relationships including high-pressure and escalated scenarios
- Demonstrated capacity and prioritization judgment
Qualifications
- Experience leading people in a formal management capacity, team lead role, or through sustained mentorship
