Job Description
This full-time remote job sits in Clinical Operations at Kura Oncology, Inc. The manager oversees how biological samples move through Phase I to Phase IV clinical studies, reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations and coordinating with clinical trial leaders and development groups across the company.
Kura Oncology is a biopharmaceutical business that has reached commercial stage and develops targeted cancer treatments. Its FDA-approved product, KOMZIFTI (ziftomenib), is a menin inhibitor taken orally once a day by adults with NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukemia that has come back after treatment or does not respond to it, and the firm continues to advance menin and farnesyl transferase inhibitor programs.
The role owns each sample from site collection through shipment to a vendor, testing and final disposal. The manager sets biosample strategy that aligns with quality, ethics and regulators' expectations, including ICH, GCP and GLP, standardizes handling across studies, and checks protocols, consent forms, lab documents, case report forms and vendor work scopes for handling details. Tracking and reporting progress, and acting as the go-to contact for project and study teams, are central duties.
The posting targets a candidate with a science, healthcare or nursing background and substantial clinical trial experience, who understands drug development and can manage CROs and biosample vendors. Travel of roughly 10 percent, domestic and international, is expected. The posting lists a base range of $150,000 to $178,000 per year, along with equity and an annual target bonus.
