Job Description

Apollo.io sells a go-to-market platform to revenue teams, from early-stage startups to large enterprises. Set up in 2015, the firm offers sales and marketing teams verified B2B contact data along with tools to reach out and turn those contacts into customers.

This fully remote Manager role sits within the Finance & Strategy team and focuses on corporate FP&A. The person would be responsible for the company's primary financial model, which covers a rolling three-statement forecast along with the balance sheet and cash flow, and would help design central planning processes. The role acts as finance partner to the R&D and G&A teams, managing their budgets and headcount.

Much of the work is recurring: monthly and quarterly cycles covering close packages, forecast refreshes, operating expense reviews and headcount checks. The manager also takes part in yearly and long-range planning cycles and translates financial results into insight on risks and opportunities. The posting describes the seat as build-focused and detail-oriented, suited to an independent analyst who likes building systems and tying out numbers and can work through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Run monthly and quarterly finance routines: close packs, forecast refreshes, opex reviews and headcount checks
  • Maintain consolidated forecasts and corporate models that support key decisions
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting such as P&L summaries and variance reviews
  • Partner with G&A and R&D leaders on operating expense and headcount accountability
  • Build planning tools and processes that can be automated and connected to future systems
  • Take part in yearly and long-range planning cycles
  • Turn financial results and KPIs into insights on risks and opportunities for leadership

Requirements

  • Four or more years of professional experience, including two or more in FP&A at a high-growth or fast-moving company
  • Ability to build financial models from scratch and work independently
  • Hands-on work forecasting headcount and operating expenses
  • Strong business partnering skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions
  • Organized and self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets

Qualifications

  • SQL or Looker experience
  • Familiarity with compensation planning or benchmarking
  • Experience with SaaS or product-led growth business models

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Equity
  • Bonus or commission eligibility
  • 401(k) plan
  • Ten or more paid holidays each year
  • Flexible time off plus parental leave
  • Wellbeing support through an employee assistance program
  • Global travel coverage
  • Life, AD&D, STD and LTD insurance
  • Flexible spending or health savings accounts, plus medical, dental and vision cover
